Nordic Skiiers as a whole have not been very good at organizing work parties for trail parties like such organziatons as the Washington Trails Association and the Volunteers of Washington do for summer hiking trails and the snowmobile community does for winter snowmobile trials. The exceptrion has been the Kongsbergers Ski Club which have hands down led the efforts for trail maintenance at the Cabin Creek SNO-PARK trails. The CCWRC is hoping to encourage people to organize and/or attend work parties. Work parties need to occur in other areas than just Cabin Creek. It should be noted that work parties should be co-ordinated with Land Managers so that we ensure that the work being performed will benefit the Nordic Community. Additionally, the volunteers hours that are performed need to be documented so that either the land manager (usually the USFS or Lake Easton State Parks) or a Ski Club can utilize in a grant application.

Some nordic clubs are currently in the process of organizing a work party and when their information becomes available, it will be posted here. For additional information please email chris at snoqualmienordic.org
