Gads, complete chaos on New Years Day huh? It is just weird that up on the Pass there is just no place to go for sledding without paying or challenging parking. But when all of Puget Sound heads up to play in the snow, there is only so much room. Having a federal government shutdown didn't help one bit, let alone a shortage of State Parks staff at Hyak and Crystal Springs. And a lack of blue boxes which appeared to be needed in many places. Sigh.
Well, we should be back to normal by next weekend barring any major meltdowns. It was WET up there today, but don't panic yet..... it can change in moments and we will just be positive and hope we get that snow level dropping.
Hyak sled hill is closed until it snows.
