weather - oh so much of it

As I went through 87 previous blog posts doing backups for my blog back end update, there was a continual theme of "rain, freeze, snow, repeat". On this 88th blog, that theme continues. Ah, so what can I say that’s new? For all of you regulars, nothing, but for newbies out there, this is normal.

There is hope that snow returns on the weekend. I saw the word “orographic post frontal snowfall”. But as I write this Thursday night, much can change in a few hours.

We have our first race event of the season at Cabin Creek! On Sunday. Registration closes 4 PM Saturday so quit procrastinating and sign up. No worries if your “not in shape”.

This Sno-Park will be VERY busy, and it’s a good idea for you to pick another place to ski.

Our first skijor clinic of the season is FULL. We will try and get a 2nd scheduled later.

Check out the weather and grooming conditions page on this site, there are a variety of weather links and information on sleet / freezing rain and hypothermia. All updated.

Back to weather, on the NWAC.org site is a climatology page. Always interesting. Here it is:
